Retro styles are seen in all kinds of fashion. The wedding gown, christening dresses and also hairstyles resemble the style of the sixties and seventies. The fabric used then has to be generated as these days the fabrics are mostly blends and skin friendliness is given to all kind of clothes. The earlier era was the time of broad pintucks and piping. The lace work was bold and a little kind of broader concepts were worked with flowers and circular embroidery patterns. The effects were stunning as machines were rarely used and the works were the magic of handwork. Needlework was a favorite hobby of the Victorian era and hence the sheer fall of the fabric is astonishing.

The colours are in a darker shade of peach and there were greens and blues too. Pinks were also used in a variety of lace work. The dresses are wrapped in special tissues or paper so that the fabric is not damaged in any way. Vintage gowns are delightful with their A line patterns and embroidery. The waist down pin tucked lace work is magnificently teamed with a bonnet and bib. The fitting of the gown is not a typical robe and much away from the body allowing a lot of room for the child.

The similar pattern can be replicated in the mothers gown or a little pattern can be drawn in the waist coast of in shirt of the suit piece. Sailor hats of the boys can be used by the proud father. Such thematic events are memorable and photographs capture the magic of the moment. Using two types of lace and embroidery is the art of entwining. The fasteners too relate to the olden times with draw strings and heavy hooks. Though for comfort one could always use the services of a tailor to make a comfortable zipper or button.

Inners for vintage wears are special with bloomers which have inlays in cotton. The sleeves can be long or short. Puff styles are Elizabethan too but cap sleeves and slender piping is ruled out. The lace on sleeves and pockets maintain the style of the sixties. The gloves and head bands also capture the era of the olden times with the hand embroidery and lace work. The theme can be well projected with Victorian table linen, bed sheets, cushions and duvets for the little one. This can be the best present and rare too.

The low waist belt in a bow style with gentle gathers becomes a frock pattern. Boat necks for young girls for christening is adorable. The gathers can be close to the body or even a calf length skirt style is interesting. Scalloped edges and beading are other options. The bodice work with white lace flowers and broad belts are vintage styles.
